The best teenage birthday party ideas in Krakow are shared, active adventures for a group of friends – bubble football, laser tag, a climbing wall or an escape room – then pizza and cake without adults hovering. Let the birthday teen choose, and handle the logistics yourself: budget, booking, transport and contact with the guests’ parents. Below are specific ideas, a sample afternoon plan, a budget and safety rules.
We’ve run Bumper Ball games in Krakow for years, birthdays included, so some of these tips come straight from the pitch. Other activities are described as general categories – always check the details in the venue’s rules.

How is a 13–16-year-old’s birthday different from a child’s?
Birthdays for older kids have rules of their own. A 13-year-old no longer wants an entertainer in fancy dress or balloon games. They want to feel it’s their party – with their people and on their terms. That’s why activities with competition, a bit of adrenaline and photo opportunities work better than a ‘kids’ programme’.
The scale and the adults’ role change too. Instead of the whole class invited out of obligation, invite a handful to a dozen or so close friends – and leave the guest list to the birthday teen. The parent stops being master of ceremonies and becomes the producer: booking, paying, driving and quietly keeping everything on track.
Teenage birthday party ideas in Krakow
These ideas work for groups of 13–16-year-olds – from the most active to the thoroughly sofa-based. Most fit a simple formula: an hour of activity, then food and cake.
Bubble football match (Bumper Ball)
Bumper Ball, also known as bubble football or bubble soccer, is football played in inflatable balls. You put the ball on like a rucksack – with adjustable straps and two hand grips. It covers the player from head to knees, so you can run, collide and land spectacularly on your back.
Bubble football is for children from age 10 and adults, so 13–16-year-olds fit easily. We have 10 balls 1.5 m in diameter for players from about 150 cm tall and 2 large 1.7 m balls for those from about 180 cm; the maximum player weight is 100 kg.
The pitch takes 10–12 players at once; bigger groups are split into teams for a mini tournament. The referee picks games to suit the group – from a classic match through Bubble Sumo and Bulldog to Last Man Standing – and enforces the safety rules. Laser tag
A team game with laser guns in a darkened arena is a sure hit with groups who like tactics and running about. It works well for mixed groups of girls and boys, because cunning counts for more than strength. Before booking, ask how many play in one game and whether your group gets the arena to itself.
Escape room
An hour of puzzles against the clock suits a group who’d rather use their brains than break a sweat. Rooms usually take a few people, so a bigger group books two and races to get out first. Ask about the minimum age – some venues only let younger teens in with an adult.
Climbing wall or bouldering
Climbing is rewarding even for those who aren’t keen on team games: everyone tackles their own route while the rest cheer from below. For a birthday, book a session with an instructor who takes care of safety and matches the difficulty to the group.
Trampoline park
Lots of movement and something for every temperament: free jumping, obstacle courses and, in many parks, trampoline dodgeball. Pick a time when it isn’t crowded, and ask whether a member of staff will look after the birthday group.
Go-karting
A dream for motorsport fans: qualifying, a race and a podium. The track’s rules decide who can drive – usually based on age and height – so check them before you send out the invitations.
Sleepover, films and games – the home version
Not every teenager wants a big party. For a small group, a film night, pizza, board games or a console tournament can be best – cheap, low-key and with no travel logistics. If your teen doesn’t want a party at all, respect that – sometimes the cinema with two best friends is enough.
Outdoors: campfire, bikes, a pitch
In spring and summer, heading outdoors works well: a bike ride, a campfire with sausages or an outdoor adventure game set up by older siblings. If you have access to an Orlik (one of the free public all-weather pitches built across Poland) or a large lawn, we’ll bring the balls there – delivery is free within 15 km of Krakow city centre and €0.23/km beyond that. In hot weather, avoid playing in full sun at midday – a hall is better then.

How to plan a 14th or 15th birthday party step by step
Whether it’s bubble football, an escape room or a sleepover, the preparations follow a similar order. This list saves you frantic phone calls the day before the party.
- Talk to the birthday teen. Not about whether they want a party, but what kind: active or not, the whole class or just their closest friends. Show them two or three options with a budget, not ten.
- Set the budget and guest numbers. With per-person pricing, every extra guest raises the cost, so close the guest list before you book.
- Book well ahead. For a weekend afternoon, get in touch a few weeks in advance. We reply to enquiries within 24 hours.
- Send an invitation – to the guests’ parents too. Your teen will invite friends on a messaging app, but parents need specifics: the address, start and pick-up times, what to wear and your phone number.
- Ask about allergies and health restrictions. This covers food, but also intense exercise. If the activity has height or weight limits, check them early so nobody ends up on the bench.
- Plan the food and cake. After an hour of exercise, everyone will be ravenous. Easiest is pizza delivered home or a table at a nearby restaurant – we can help with that too.
- Arrange drop-off and pick-up. Decide who drives the guests there and back, and stick to the pick-up time in the invitation.
Sample birthday plan with bubble football
Here’s a sample Saturday afternoon for 12 people, with a match in a sports hall and pizza afterwards. Adjust the times as needed – just keep the exercise before the food, not straight after it.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 15:50 | Meet outside the hall – ideally already in sports kit |
| 16:00–17:00 | An hour with the balls: briefing and about 45 minutes of play |
| 17:00 | Group photo and a short rest |
| 17:20 | Pizza and cake at home or at a nearby restaurant |
| 18:30 | Parents pick up the guests |
How much does a teenage birthday party in Krakow cost?
The budget depends mainly on the number of guests and whether the activity is priced per person. Here’s how it works out for a bubble football match for 12 people:
- Without a hall – €17/person, so €204: 10–12 balls, free delivery in Krakow, about 45 minutes of actual play and the organiser’s supervision. A good option if you have your own pitch or lawn.
- With a hall – €22/person, so €264: the same plus sports hall rental, e.g. at Com Com Zone (ul. Ptaszyckiego 6) or at al. Jana Pawła II 37.
- With a VIP hall – €28/person, so €336: on top of that, a game host and referee, souvenir photos, a bottle of water for everyone and a professional warm-up.
You can add photo coverage (€34, 20–25 photos plus a group photo) or a short HD video (€78) – social media content ready to go. With a bigger group, play can be extended by 30 minutes. Every item is in our bubble football price list – and remember to budget for food, drinks and cake.

Safety and the parent’s role
Teenagers want independence, but adults should still be in control. A ‘background parent’ works best: on site or close by, with the guests’ parents’ numbers to hand and no commentary on every collision. Before the party, take care of a few things:
- Briefing and supervision. Choose activities where someone explains the rules and enforces them throughout. With us, there’s a briefing on putting the ball on safely before the game, and the organiser supervises play.
- Venue rules. Check the age, height and weight limits and whether the venue requires written parental consent.
- Clothing and water. For bubble football, PE kit is all you need: shorts or a tracksuit, a T-shirt and trainers. In summer, plenty of water is a must.
- Pick-up. Nobody leaves on their own without their parents knowing, and the pick-up time is agreed in advance.
- Photos online. Before guests’ photos go on social media, ask for their consent. It’s not just good manners – under Polish law, distributing someone’s image generally requires the permission of the person shown (Article 81 of the Polish Act on Copyright and Related Rights).

Frequently asked questions
Where can I have a 14th birthday party in Krakow?
Anywhere with action and competition: a sports hall, a laser tag arena, a climbing wall or an escape room. You can play bubble football at Com Com Zone in Nowa Huta, at al. Jana Pawła II 37 or on an Orlik pitch or lawn of your choice.
How many people should I invite to a teenager’s birthday party?
As many as the birthday teen really wants to see – a small group of close friends usually has more fun than a whole class invited out of politeness. Bubble football is ideal for 10–12 players; bigger groups play a tournament.
Can a 13-year-old play bubble football?
Yes – bubble football is for children from age 10. Players should also be about 150 cm tall and weigh up to 100 kg.
Do parents need to stay at the venue?
Our organiser supervises the game, but with under-18s it’s wise to have at least one adult from the birthday teen’s side on site – for contact with the guests’ parents, the cake and pick-up.
