The best of all Boys’ Day at work ideas? A group outing instead of yet another gadget that ends up in a drawer – say, an hour of bubble football after work, then dinner with your department. It costs €22 per person including the hall, and the memories last longer than a mug with a slogan. The same idea works at school: a class bubble football trip suits pupils from grade 4 up.
Dzień Chłopaka – Boys’ Day, when Polish women and girls celebrate the men and boys around them – falls on 30 September. In 2027 it’s a Thursday, so plan your outing for that day after work or for Friday 1 October. Below you’ll find ideas for colleagues, a version for school classes and sample budgets per person.

Boys’ Day at work ideas for the men in your team
In the office, female colleagues often organise Boys’ Day, but the whole department can celebrate. Start by asking what your team really needs: a small gesture over coffee, or an outing people will talk about for weeks.
An after-work bubble football match
An hour in a sports hall, Bumper Ball balls and teams: department vs department, men vs women or line-ups drawn from a hat. Nobody needs to be good at football – collisions and somersaults in the bubbles are as much fun for spectators as for players. Details below.
Breakfast or lunch together
The simplest option for 30 September itself: croissants and coffee in the morning or lunch delivered for the whole department. It works well as an add-on to an outing on another day.
A small, tongue-in-cheek gift
If you want to give something, go for practical or funny: a colleague’s favourite snacks, socks in his club’s colours, a certificate ‘for the fastest email replies’. A gift needn’t be expensive – what matters is that it shows thought and that you know the person.
Another group activity
If bubble football doesn’t suit your team, consider bowling, an escape room, go-karting, a shooting range or laser tag. When choosing, ask whether everyone can take part, not just the sportiest. More suggestions are in our round-up of team building ideas in Krakow.
Office games
Only have half an hour in the staff kitchen? A quiz about your colleagues or a short team game is enough to get everyone laughing. Ready-made rules are in our article on team building games for adults.
How to organise a bubble football match for Boys’ Day
A Bumper Ball match is one of the easier activities to organise, because we handle the balls, the staff and – if needed – the hall. You just need to agree a few things:
- Date and time. Choose 30 September or a day close to it and tell us when you finish work – we’ll check free slots at the hall.
- Number of people. 10–12 people play on the pitch at once. We split bigger departments into teams and run a mini tournament so everyone plays.
- Venue. We play at the Com Com Zone hall (ul. Ptaszyckiego 6, Nowa Huta) and the hall at al. Jana Pawła II 37. We work with venues all over Krakow, so we can also find and book a hall closer to your office.
- Programme. The standard booking is 1 hour of balls and venue – about 45 minutes of actual play – extendable by 30 minutes. After a briefing on putting the ball on, you play a match and games such as Bubble Sumo, Bulldog or a Last Man Standing finale.
- What to wear. PE kit: shorts or a tracksuit, a T-shirt and trainers. Bring it to the office and change before you leave.
- The rest of the evening. Match first, dinner after – we only play sober. We can help you book a restaurant table, a booth at a club, or a company party on a boat on the Vistula (Boat Party) or on a party tram (Tram Party).
Here’s how your department’s afternoon might look:
- straight after work – get changed and travel to the hall together,
- the first hour – briefing, match and games in the bubbles,
- afterwards – dinner and certificates, e.g. for the Bubble Sumo king,
- for those who fancy it – the rest of the evening at a club, on a boat or on the tram.
Late September weather can be fickle, so a hall is a safer bet than grass. Read more about bubble football as a team building event for companies in Krakow.

Budget per person – how much does a Boys’ Day outing cost?
Bubble football is priced per person, so your department’s budget is easy to work out. The other amounts in the table are rough assumptions for this calculation only.
| Option | What’s included | Cost per person |
|---|---|---|
| Modest | a small gift and treats at the office | say €5–9 (PLN 20–40) |
| Active | bubble football in a hall (With a hall package) | €22 |
| VIP | With a VIP hall package: game host and referee, souvenir photos, water for everyone, a professional warm-up | €28 |
| VIP with dinner | VIP package plus dinner, say €18–27 (PLN 80–120) | about €46–55 |
For example, a department of 12 chooses the With a hall package and adds photo coverage (€34, 20–25 photos and a group photo). That’s 12 × €22 + €34 = €298, or about €24.83 per person. We issue VAT invoices to companies, so the outing can come out of the team building budget rather than a whip-round.
If only the women pay but everyone plays, the cost per paying person goes up – in a department where women make up half the team, it can double. That’s why at work it’s better for the whole team to chip in or for the company to contribute.

A Boys’ Day idea for school classes
At school, Boys’ Day usually means handmade cards, sweet treats and small gifts from the girls. If the class wants more, a bubble football trip works from grade 4 up: players must be 10 or older and about 150 cm tall.
In form time
- good-humoured certificates for every boy, e.g. ‘Champion Rubber Borrower’,
- a ‘How well do we know the boys in our class?’ quiz prepared by the girls,
- a rock, paper, scissors tournament for the title of class champion,
- shared treats with everyone’s favourite snacks.
A class trip to a bubble football match
The whole class goes to the match, not just the boys – the girls can play against them or in mixed teams. With 10–12 people on the pitch at once, we split the class into teams for a mini tournament with rotation. An hour’s booking gives about 45 minutes of actual play, and with 25–30 pupils it’s worth adding 30 minutes.
In a hall it’s €22 per pupil, and on the school pitch €17 (the Without a hall package, with free delivery within 15 km of Krakow city centre). So a class of 24 pays €528 with a hall or €408 on its own pitch. We issue a VAT invoice to the school; prepare parental consent forms in line with your school’s rules.
Plan the trip with the form tutor, who knows the school’s rules. Meanwhile, the girls can sign up players, make certificates for the winners and organise the match-day cheering. Bubble football isn’t suitable for grades 1–3, so for them, go for games in the gym and certificates. More ideas for class outings are in our article on class bonding – ideas for grades 4–8 and secondary school.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between Boys’ Day and Men’s Day in Poland?
In Poland, Men’s Day is celebrated on 10 March, two days after Women’s Day, and it’s mainly for adult men. Boys’ Day on 30 September is more associated with boys and younger men, although offices celebrate it regardless of age.
What should I buy male colleagues for Boys’ Day?
Something symbolic, practical or funny is best – or a shared experience instead of a thing. On a small budget, combine a modest gift with an outing planned for another day.
Can female colleagues play bubble football too?
Yes, women and men both play bubble football, and teams can be mixed. The same requirements apply: height from about 150 cm and weight up to 100 kg.
Can we book a bubble football match on a weekday after work?
Yes, we agree times individually. Tell us in the form when you’d like to start, and within 24 hours we’ll confirm whether the slot is free.
