Who can play bubble football? Anyone aged 10 or over who is at least around 150 cm tall and weighs no more than 100 kg. For children, that means roughly from the fourth year of primary school in Poland – for younger kids the balls are simply too big. Children, teenagers, adults and whole companies play with us – below we cover what to watch out for in each group and what to choose if your child is younger.
Why these limits? The ball is 1.5 m in diameter, weighs about 10 kg when inflated and goes on like a rucksack, with adjustable straps and two hand grips inside. It protects you from head to knees, with your legs left outside so you can run. That’s why height matters as well as age: the 1.5 m balls fit players from about 150 cm, and our two large 1.7 m balls suit those from about 180 cm.

Who can play bubble football? A quick age guide
| Who | Requirements | Typical occasions | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Children aged 10–12 | aged 10+ and about 150 cm tall | birthdays, Children’s Day (1 June), class outings | both conditions must be met |
| Teenagers aged 13–18 | from about 150 cm, up to 100 kg | birthdays, 18th birthdays, class bonding | the tallest can play in 1.7 m balls |
| Adults | from about 150 cm, up to 100 kg | stag dos, hen dos, birthdays | the game goes before the party, not after |
| Companies and institutions | as for adults, 10–12 people at a time | team building, picnics, office Christmas parties | VAT invoice, mini tournament for big groups |
For the youngest players, then, date of birth isn’t the only thing that counts. Not every 10-year-old is 150 cm tall yet, so before booking a party, measure the birthday child and check with the guests’ parents.
Bubble football for children aged 10–12
This is the youngest group we play with. Bubble football for kids works as it does for adults – same balls, same briefing on putting them on safely – but we choose games to suit their age. Games where the whole group runs at once, like Bulldog, work well, as do short matches. One of our team supervises the whole time and enforces the safety rules.
If you’re planning a bubble football birthday party in Krakow, all you need is the class or the kids from your street. The pitch takes 10–12 players at once, and we split a bigger group into teams for a mini tournament so everyone gets to play. We play at the Com Com Zone hall (ul. Ptaszyckiego 6) and the hall at al. Jana Pawła II 37, but we can also come to a school sports hall, an Orlik pitch (one of the free public all-weather pitches built across Poland) or a grass field you pick.
Dress the kids for PE: shorts or a tracksuit, a T-shirt and trainers. In summer, pick a hall – it gets too hot inside a ball in the midday sun – and do bring water. For more ideas, see our article on active birthday parties for 10–12-year-olds in Krakow.
Can a child carry the ball?
The ball weighs about 10 kg, but nobody carries it in their arms. The weight rests on the straps, like a rucksack, and the hands just hold the grips inside. At a height of about 150 cm, the ball fits well and you can run freely in it.
Teenagers aged 13–18
Teenagers get the biggest buzz from team games – Last Man Standing, rugby and a proper match – and from Bubble Sumo duels. It’s a great activity for a teenager’s birthday, an 18th, bonding a new class or a school trip to Krakow. The tallest players, from about 180 cm, can use one of our two large 1.7 m balls.
Schools have two easy options: we bring the balls to the school pitch or sports hall, or we find and book a hall in Krakow. We travel all over Poland and issue schools a VAT invoice. For class outing ideas, see our article on activities for teenagers in Krakow.

Adults: stag dos, hen dos and birthdays
For adults, what matters most is weight (up to 100 kg) and height (from about 150 cm). Women and men play, athletes and people whose last run was in school PE alike – having fun matters more than fitness here.
For stag dos, the most popular package is ‘With a VIP hall’ (€28/person): a game host and referee, souvenir photos, a bottle of water for everyone and a professional warm-up. Hen dos play by the same rules, and a Bubble Sumo duel between the bride and her maid of honour is a ready-made highlight. For an 18th, 30th or 40th birthday, a bubble football game makes an active start to the evening.
The golden rule for adults: the game goes before the party, not after it. Inside a ball you need a clear head and steady legs, so play first, then dinner and celebrations. We can help plan the rest of the day too – from a party boat on the Vistula to a VIP booth in a club, a restaurant table or transport from your hotel and back.

Companies and institutions
At a team-building event, bubble football has one big advantage: everyone plays, whatever their football skills. It works at a company sports day or picnic and, in winter, as a game before the office Christmas party. As the pitch holds 10–12 players at a time, we split larger teams into squads. For a ready-made plan for 20–40 people, see our guide to a bubble football tournament for companies.
We issue VAT invoices to companies and institutions and reply to enquiries within 24 hours. We can also arrange transport for participants and catering – these are priced individually.
Who can’t play bubble football – and what to choose instead?
Children under 10
We don’t run bubble football for younger children. Our balls are designed for players from about 150 cm, so a shorter child couldn’t move freely in them. If you’re after something like ‘inflatable balls for kids’ for a preschooler’s or young schoolchild’s birthday, pick an activity for younger children, such as a trampoline park or bowling (check the venue’s age limit).
For a comparison of popular options, see our article on sports birthday parties for kids in Krakow. And if the children are of mixed ages, older siblings can play in the balls while the younger ones cheer from the sidelines.
People over 100 kg
The weight limit is 100 kg and applies to every player. Anyone heavier can be the touchline coach or official team photographer.
A small garden instead of a pitch
Ten or twelve people in 1.5 m balls need as much space as a football pitch, so a back garden won’t work. Choose an Orlik pitch, a school pitch, a big lawn or a hall – and if you have nowhere to play, we’ll find and book a hall for you.
Injuries and medical reasons to avoid exercise
Bubble football is a contact sport: there are collisions, falls and lots of running. Anyone with a recent injury or a medical reason to avoid exertion should cheer from the sidelines this time. We explain how we reduce the risk of injury in our article on whether bubble football is safe.

Frequently asked questions
Can a 9-year-old play bubble football?
No. We play with children who are at least 10 and about 150 cm tall. Come back to the idea when your child is older – a 10th birthday is a great time for a first game.
What is the weight limit for bubble football?
The limit is 100 kg for every player, whatever their age and height. The tallest players, from about 180 cm, can play in the larger 1.7 m balls.
How much does a bubble football birthday party cost?
It depends on the package: €17 per person without a hall, €22 with a hall or €28 for VIP. For example, a party for 12 children with a hall costs €264.
Is bubble football safe for kids?
Before going on the pitch, every child learns how to put the ball on safely, and our organiser enforces the rules until the final whistle. The ball covers players from head to knees but, as in any contact sport, what matters are the rules and age-appropriate games.
